Book Four Sold!

Book 4 has been picked up by a new publisher! Hopefully it will be out next Spring or Summer, depending on their schedule and mine.

My Thoughts

This has to be one of my favorite add-ons to Pride and Prejudice. Marsha Altman has kept true to the origins of the characters created by Jane Austen while at the same time blending in her own version of them. She has also created new characters that add depth and insight into her novel. Mr. Darcy’s Great Escape contains daring adventure that will keep readers on the edge of their seats. Although this is the third installment in Marsha Altman’s Pride & Prejudice Continues series, the novel truly stands on it own. The newly created characters has been thoroughly explained so that reader does not need to have read the previous two. I will say after reading Mr. Darcy’s Great Escape you will want to read the other two. Mr. Darcy’s Great Escape should come with a warning label that declares once you open the book you will not want put it down until you have read the last page.

Blogging on blogging, of all things

There's a new review up for Mr. Darcy's Great Escape on Readaholic. Yay!

I know a lot of authors have very informative blogs, in that it acts as sort of a personal journal for their lives, and readers really like that. The main reason is that I sort of already have a live journal that is very personal and a blog about my job and a Facebook account that needs updating and I stopped short at a Twitter feed. I'm a shut-in writer living in a tiny apartment in Manhattan. My life isn't half as interesting to justify the multitude of social resources I already have to tell people about my life. There's also the matter that there's only so much writing I can get done in a day, and preferably, I'd like to be writing, you know, books.

That and I don't have any cute pets to photograph.

So really, if you want to ask me something about my life, email me and I'll answer in a post, but I'm not going to throw myself out there unless I have something to say that is about my books or my life as an author.

It seems Mr. Darcy's Great Escape is now available on Kindle. So if you own a Kindle, and you've been waiting ... your wait is over! Hooray!

My first reading

I did my first reading last night, at a literary cafe thing organized by my old City College professor. Not really bookstore-level, but I was honored to do it anyway, and it will make the next reading a little less terrifying.
